Safer Internet Week

This week we have been learning about ‘Safer Internet’

The children have talked about  giving information with strangers and telling a grown-up if they are concerned about anything, and about online bullying.

We watched Smartie the Penguin and sang his song “Before you tap and click, you need to stop and think … and TELL someone”

You can access Smarties story at: https://www.childnet.com/resources/smartie-the-penguin/

Article 13 (freedom of expression)
Every child must be free to express their  thoughts and opinions and to access all kinds of information, as long as it is within the law.

Article 17 (access to information from the media)
Every child has the right to reliable information from a variety of sources, and governments should encourage the media to provide information that children can understand. Governments must help protect children from materials that could harm them
