Meeting the chicks
On Thursday we were very excited to meet the chicks that Year Two have been raising from eggs.
We all got a chance to hold them. We were very quiet and sensible so that we didn’t scare them.
We learnt that chicks need to be kept under a warm lamp, and that they need food and clean water.
When they are a little older they are going to go and live on a farm.
We were very careful to wash our hands after handling the chicks to keep us safe from germs.
