Gruffalo Habitats – Learning about basic needs
This has been our second week of investigating the book ‘The Gruffalo’ by Julia Donaldson in Reception.
We have been learning about habitats and linking these to our rights and basic needs. We learnt that all animals, including humans, need: Shelter; safety; food & drink.
We thought that the Gruffalo might live in a cave in the woods. The children have been busy refining their design & technology skills creating their very own habitats from the junk modelling materials.
