Bonfire Night, Jackson Pollock.

This week we decided to look deeper into why we celebrate bonfire night, and the history behind it. We learnt that there was a deeper meaning to how it started, but now we celebrate it for fun and experience. We discussed if we saw any bonfires ourselves with our families, and how to keep safe. Continuing the theme of Bonfire Night, we looked into an artist named Jackson Pollock and explored his work on splatter paintings. We then created our own splatter painting using paint, string, brushes and bright colourful paint such as red, oranges, green to reflect bonfire colours. We then created our own ‘bonfire themed’ splatter paintings inspired by Jackson Pollock.

We have had a brilliant week in Tigers!
