This week as part of our RE Curriculum Reception visited our local church – Beeches Evangelical Church. This is part of the schools commitment to visiting three different places of worship during children’s three years with us. We pick places of worship that best represent our school community.
We walked to church through our local community, and then were welcomed by Mr Watson who told us about the Church, the type of things that happened there, and then we discussed the Easter Story.
Article 14 states: Every child has the right to think and believe what they choose and also to practise their religion, as long as they are not stopping other people from enjoying their rights. Governments must respect the rights and responsibilities of parents to guide their child as they grow up.
